Lodge & Area Information
Glacier Bay Country Inn is where you can fish and tour amid unparalleled scenery and solitude, with ample opportunities for rest and relaxation.
The lodge rests on 160 acres of Alaskan rain forest and beautiful meadows overlooking the snow covered mountains in the distance. The property offers many activities such as hiking, bike riding, wildlife viewing, and sitting around the fire after dinner on the outdoor deck talking to others from around the world.
The main lodge houses five guest rooms, with most rooms accommodating up to three guests. As Gustavus Alaska is a small town and there are limited places to eat in the area, your lodging price includes all meals. A large dining room and kitchen comprise the first floor of the lodge. Meals are prepared by our in house Chef and staff, who are well known for their ability to create delicious dishes for all. For our guests’ entertainment, we offer a “keeping room,” library, on the second floor.
New for 2012 a 2000 sq recreation room built behind the laundry room so as not to deter from the peace and quite the lodge is known for. Check out our Press Release here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/alaska-fishing/alaska-fishing-lodge/prweb9152766.htm
Our five cabins accommodate up to four guests each and are good for anglers who wish to spread out their fishing gear, kick back on a porch, and take in the evening with talk or debate.
