Glacier Bay Country Inn is where you can fish and tour amid unparalleled scenery and solitude, with ample opportunities for rest and relaxation.
The lodge rests on 160 acres of Alaskan rain forest and beautiful meadows overlooking the snow covered mountains in the distance. The property offers many activities such as hiking, bike riding, wildlife viewing, and sitting around the fire after dinner on the outdoor deck talking to others from around the world.
The main lodge houses five guest rooms, with most rooms accommodating up to three guests. As Gustavus is a small town and there are limited places to eat in the area, your lodging price includes all meals and a large dining room and kitchen comprise the first floor of the lodge. Meals are prepared by Chef Jon Hounsel, who is well known for his ability to create delicious dishes for all. For our guests' entertainment, we offer a "keeping room," library, and game/TV room on the second floor.
Our five cabins accommodate up to four guests each and are good for anglers who wish to spread out their fishing gear, kick back on a porch, and take in the evening with talk or debate.
